I’ve been to Paris a handful of times over the past few years and may even be planning a long-term move there, so needless to say I feel like I have some good food and drink recommendations. If you’re currently planning a trip, don't stress about making reservations for every meal or feel like you have to go to all of these places. The majority of places on this list I found by wandering around the city. I do recommend keeping a loose list of places you’d like to go and making reservations if there is a place you really want to try. Enjoy and let me know in the comments below if you've visited any of these spots!
Cafe de Flore
Located in St. Germain and well known for famous guests like Pablo Picasso. One of my favorite spots to people watch and for mille-feuille.
Ritz Bar
By far the best dining experience I’ve had in Paris. Get a drink based off your zodiac sign and get the CROQ'RITZ with truffle.
Bar Vendome
Located in the Ritz this is the best spot for people watching. Stop here for a drink, dinner, or dessert and enjoy!
Hemingway Bar
Located in the Ritz this special spot only sits 25 people. The bartender Collin Peter Field has been named the best bartender in the world by Forbes.
Pierre Herme
The best macaroons in Paris. Enough said.
Cafe Angelina
Go here and get the hot chocolate. Thank me later!
Eric Kayser
One of my favorite boulangeries in Paris. With locations all over the city, it’s the perfect place to stop in for a pastry, sandwich, salad, etc.
Le Pain Quotidien
One of my favorite spots that makes me feel like a local. My favorite location is in the First Arrondissement.
Rue Montorgueil
This street is my favorite food market in Paris. Stop in a restaurant or pick up some fresh produce and you’ll be in foodie heaven!
YSL Cafe
You’ll find the YSL cafe on the side of the Rive Droite boutique in the First Arrondissement. A great spot to pick up a coffee while shopping or on a walk to Jardin des Tuileries.
La Mere Catherine
This quaint little spot is only a 3 minute walk from Sacre-Coeur. I recommend the traditional beef bourguignon and sitting out in the courtyard to watch the local artists paint.
Le Cafe Marly
One of the best views in Paris by far is at Le cafe Marly. I stumbled upon this cafe on a walk from my hotel to the Valentino SS 2021 show during Paris Fashion Week. Their Aperol Spritz was perfect and the view was even better. I would highly recommend making reservations here depending on the time of year you visit.
Wild & The Moon
Once you’ve finally had your fill of croissants and macaroons head here for some health-focused options. They have great vegan options, juices, wellness shots, smoothies, etc.
Laduree
Very well known for their amazing macaroons and pastries. If you’re looking for a less crowded, sit-down experience I recommend the St. Germain location.
Napoli Gang by Big Mamma
If you’re dealing with jet lag and want to stay in then do yourself a favor and order pizza from here. When I was in Paris for Fashion Week I ordered from here twice because it was that good. I would especially recommend the truffle pizza!
